AP EAPCET NCC Grace Marks (GO Ms. No.43): 15% Cap, 1% Seats, One-Time Benefit
This article explains Andhra Pradesh GO Ms. No.43 (16-07-2025) that replaced the old NCC priority-only model and introduced grace marks for eligible NCC cadets in common entrance test based admissions.
What changed in this GO
- Old NCC priority-only system is replaced by grace marks based incentive.
- Applicable for admissions in Diploma, UG and PG courses in multiple departments.
- Admissions are still limited to maximum 1% seats under NCC quota with horizontal reservation.
Base grace marks by NCC category
| Category | Grace marks (% of total marks secured) |
|---|---|
| NCC C Certificate | 10% |
| Participation in RDC | 7% |
| Participation in TSC / VSC / NSC | 5% |
| NCC B Certificate | 3% |
| NCC A Certificate | 1% |
Cumulative rule and 15% upper cap (important)
- Grace marks can be cumulative, but total is capped at 15% of marks secured in respective CET.
- When A, B, C all exist, higher certificate logic is considered where applicable.
- Example from GO: B (3%) + TSC/VSC/NSC (5%) + RDC (7%) = 15%.
- Even with more qualifying categories, final addition cannot exceed 15%.
Critical admission conditions from GO
- Grace marks only for candidates who qualified / secured cut-off in respective CET.
- Tie between NCC candidates is resolved by higher raw CET marks.
- NCC grace-mark incentive can be used only once in a lifetime.
- Only authenticated NCC Directorate certificates are valid, and NCC Directorate verifies genuineness on request.
- After grace addition, total marks cannot exceed maximum CET marks.
Student checklist before counselling
