How to interpret your college eligibility result

This tool answers one focused question: with your current rank and profile, are you likely to get a specific college and branch combination? The result is based on final phase cutoff references and your selected caste, gender, and region. If the page shows likely eligible, it means your rank is within the closing rank boundary for that exact quota. If it shows not eligible, it means your rank is currently beyond the latest reference closing rank for that branch in that college.

Do not use a single result as your full counselling plan. Real allotment can move due to option-entry order, category seat conversion, student withdrawals, and phase-wise seat shifts. A strong strategy is to test multiple nearby colleges and compare their branch cutoffs in the same session. If your target college is slightly out of reach, check alternative branches in that college and same branch options in similar colleges. This gives you realistic backup choices while keeping your primary preference intact.

Also evaluate practical factors before locking choices: annual fee, hostel availability, district distance, language comfort, and placement trends in your preferred branch. When two options look similar by cutoff, choose the one that fits your four-year academic and financial comfort better. This approach reduces regret after allotment and improves your final branch satisfaction.

Best practice before counselling submission:

  • Check at least 3 dream options, 8 realistic options, and 10 safe options.
  • Keep branch priority clear before college brand comparison.
  • Re-check your shortlist after every official phase update.
