Individual College Page: How To Read Cutoff Block and Seat Summary Correctly
When you open an individual college branch page, do not read only one number. Read **two blocks together**: the **2025 cutoff block** and the **Seat Summary block**.
Block 1: 2025 Phase-Wise Cutoff Table
- Ph1 Opening: first admitted rank in that phase/category row.
- Ph1/Ph2/Ph3 Closing: last admitted rank in each phase.
- Male/Female/Total: count values attached to that row.
- Note: special-category rows are not shown in the main regular grid.
Block 2: Seat Summary
Seat Summary explains full phase flow: Sanctioned Intake, Final Seats Filled, then movement across Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3 Final panels.
Worked example (same structure as your actual panel)
Example values: Sanctioned Intake = 11 Final Seats Filled = 11 (100%) Phase 1: - Total allotted = 11 - Went to P2 = 2 - Rejected in P1 = 8 - 1 from P1 ultimately held till final Phase 2: - Total = 11 (2 from P1 + 9 new) - Continued to P3 = 6 - Did not continue = 5 Phase 3 Final: - Confirmed = 11 - From P1 = 1 - From P2 = 5 - Fresh in P3 = 5 - Check: 1 + 5 + 5 = 11
Regular Seats vs Special Category
Regular Seats means the normal seat pool of that branch used in regular counselling flow. Special Category means reserved buckets such as CAP, NCC, PWD, Sports, SCG, SG. In UI we also show a compact breakup (example: CAP:1). So if you see: Regular Seats = 10 and Special Category = 1, total branch-level filled view becomes 11 in that example.
EAMCET Hub logic (Input -> Engine -> Output -> Action)
Input: college code + branch + 2025 cutoff rows + seat summary records. Engine: group by branch, hide empty rows, separate special-category interpretation, compute phase-flow checks. Output: two clear decision blocks (cutoff table + seat summary). Action: user can classify branch as Safe/Realistic/Dream and avoid wrong assumptions from one phase only.
Impact on your counselling outcome
- You understand movement, not only one closing rank.
- You avoid wrong conclusions from Phase 1-only reading.
- Your branch ordering becomes evidence-based.
